Founded by Wendell C. Rexford in 1959, using experience from his logging and farming roots, Wendell quickly became a common name for construction excavation in northern New Hampshire.
In 1992, after years of working in the industry, Wendell’s two sons, Butch and Larry, officially joined the business and became Wendell Rexford & Sons, Inc. Today, Wendell Rexford & Sons is owned and operated by Aaron and Michelle Arsenault.
Prior to owning the company, Aaron enjoyed a long working and personal relationship with the Rexford family. He worked directly for them, plus provided ancillary services through his own trucking and mechanical work business.
In 2013, as Butch and Larry started to enjoy retirement, Aaron was offered the opportunity to take over the business. Butch and Larry are still involved in the business, always willing to help out and offer advice for complex projects. Aaron and Michelle have made it a point to stick to the roots that built this company. They recognize the value in the wisdom passed down from Wendell Rexford himself.
Today, their approach to business development continues to build strong customer relationships by providing high-quality services and keeping up-to-date with ever-changing regulations within the industry. They are known as the go-to full service excavation company in northern New Hampshire, serving the towns of Bethlehem, Bretton Woods, Carroll, Dalton, Franconia, Groveton, Jefferson, Lancaster, Landaff, Lisbon, Littleton, Lyman, Monroe, North Stratford, Northumberland, Randolph, Stark, Stratford, Sugar Hill, Twin Mountain, Whitefield and surrounding areas.
